Privacy policy
We collect as little as we can, we do not sell it, and you can have it deleted whenever you want. The rest of this page is the detail behind those three sentences.
THE SHORT VERSION
We collect your email only when you hand it to us, plus anonymous statistics about how pages are used. We never sell or rent personal information. Email us and we will show you what we hold or delete it.
Who we are
Pore Breathing is published by SOLANCHA Media Group, LLC, which is the data controller for this site. Write to us at hello@porebreathing.com about anything on this page.
What we collect
What you give us. Your email address when you request the guided audio, a book sample, or the course waitlist; your name, email, and message when you use the contact form.
What your browser sends. Standard technical data, pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser type, referring site. We use it in aggregate to understand what people read.
Purchases. Orders are processed by Shopify. Payment card details go to the payment processor and never reach our servers; we see the order record and the address needed to ship it.
What we never ask for. We do not collect health information, and nothing you practise is tracked. What happens in your sitting stays with you.
Why we hold it
To send you the thing you asked for, to answer your message, to fulfil an order, and to see which writing is useful so we can make more of it. If you joined a list, we may also write to you about new practices, the book, and the course, every email carries an unsubscribe link, and one click is enough.
Where GDPR applies, our legal bases are your consent for marketing email, contractual necessity for orders, and legitimate interest for basic site analytics and security.
Who else sees it
Only the services that make the site work: our email platform, our web host and analytics provider, and Shopify for purchases. Each processes data on our instructions. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies
We use the cookies needed to run the site and to count visits. Your browser can refuse or delete them; the site keeps working either way. Where local law requires a consent banner, you will see one before any non-essential cookie is set.
How long we keep it
Email addresses stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Contact messages are kept for up to two years. Order records are kept as long as tax and consumer law require. Analytics data is retained in aggregate.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to a particular use. In the EU and UK you also have the right to portability and to complain to your data protection authority. In California and other US states with privacy statutes, you have the right to know, delete, and correct, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights, we do not sell or share data, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their details, write to us and we will delete them.
Where data is handled
Our providers operate in the United States and elsewhere. Where data leaves the EEA or UK, transfers rely on the safeguards those providers have in place, such as standard contractual clauses.
